I was inspired to write this book because of all the dynamic authors I have met and listened to while working with EDC Creations. My previous projects have all been dealing with children and I wanted to try my hand at an adult novel, which turned out to be a novella. I've had an idea for years to pen a novel.
What was your biggest challenge writing Enough Was Never Enough?
My biggest challenge was finding the right voice for all of the characters. I'm still not convinced that I have truly done that. It is my hope that book two of this series will be even better than the first.
Which character do you think that readers will love to hate and why?
I think that my readers will love to hate Lynn, the twin sister of my main character Jade. She is very devious, and mischievous, but a likable character. She's very personable, and has reasons for doing some of the things that she does in the story. If I had to name two more they would definitely be Lynn's friends Angie and Leslie.
What is it that you'd like readers to walk away with after reading Enough Was Never Enough?
I would like for characters to walk away with a feeling of happiness. Belief that if you 'own your truth' you can find peace and resolve. I would also like for them to feel that there really can be love between siblings, friends and personal relationships, through hardships. That there is really 'joy in the morning'.
What is a hidden talent or pastime that you enjoy that may surprise others?
Hard to say, I'm pretty much an open book. I'm a sagittarius, and wear my feelings on my sleeve. I really enjoy just reading all kinds of magazines. I could do that all day and night if I had that kind of free time. I start reading from the back cover and work my way forward. I read just about every article on every page. It relaxes me.
